Company History

Creative Waste Solutions, Inc. (CWSI) is an Oregon based company founded in 1999 after years of vision, product innovation, testing and development. 

The company's founders decided to develop an alternative method of handling the problematic waste streams of alcohol, xylene and formalin in histology, cytology and other Life Science laboratories. The conventional methods of distillation, drain disposal and/or paying to haul away the waste streams are costly, time consuming and can cause environmental harm. Our vision was to handle these waste streams differently, like none other before.

The result of this vision allows CWSI to bring to laboratories a way to reduce, re-use, and recycle these once problematic waste streams. 

This is made possible by using three factors:

• Using gravity as the power source
• Using clean, green chemistry and
• The passion of the end user to tap into these powers

All of our products are designed to be simple, user friendly and easy for anyone to use. They take up very little valuable laboratory space, and require no electricity, using gravity as the power source. 

Our systems are guaranteed to save each lab money, time and energy with the added benefit of helping the environment as well.

Rex Johnson, President

Rex has over fifteen years experience in the medical field. He has held positions at Abbott Laboratories, Stericycle and Naiad Technologies.
